Vintage Tapio Wirkkala 'Kapteenin' carafe made by iittala, Finland

  

This 1960s rare'kapteenin' carafe designed by tapio wirkkala in 1963 was made by iittala, finland. Size: 17 h (carafe only) 22.5 h (with cork) x 13.5cm diameter at base. Colour: clear glass, black wood and cork material for cork.

Condition: carafe - 5/5 in excellent condition; cork - 3.5/5, cork part is a little loose from the wooden part. Humina design shop's condition rating. 5 - excellent, no obvious signs of wear considering its age.
