Note this doesn't have opening only the center part, so the water will go to the center only- please make sure and look at the photos carefully. Ryukyu ware is very popular in okinawa japan. They usually use this tukkuri by the farmers when it's hot where they can just easily grab this hanging on their body to cool them down while working in the heat. This also can be used to store sake drink. Most items in antique, vintage and/or used condition may have been stored for many years.
