Vintage crystal glass decanter with stopper Bohemia Hand-painted enamel Cobalt blue Nassar al-din Shah Qajar 20th century

  

A fine quality bohemian enamelled cobalt art glass decanter. Cobalt blue crystal glass mouth blown decanter with an elongated steeple spire form stopper resting in a waisted three raised band ringed neck. Geometric carved patterns which has been hand painted with gold enamel. A central portrait medallion, depicting naser al-din shah qajar (1831-1896), persia's longest reigning shah from 1848 to 1896.

Slight wear of the gold enamel on the bottle neck and the stopper of the carafe. No damages to the glass. Height 50 cm, wide 15 cm. Hand-crafted in bohemia (present day czech republic) by some of the world's best glass artisans and painters. Exquisitely made for the persian market, during the 20th century. Very nice addition to any collection.
