Vintage AMETHYST PURPLE Wine Decanter Juice Pitcher Cut-to-Clear 24 Lead Crystal East Germany 1980s Retro TRAUBE Grape Pattern Violet Plum

  
Presented for your consideration is a large cut-to-clear crystal pitcher or decanter in a soft amethyst / plum / purple / violet. Cut into the mouth blown body are vines, grapes and leaves separated by panels of stars and fans.

The neck has been adorned by a band of connected round cameo panels. The base has been cut with a deep star and the clear handle has been pulled. This full lead (24% pbo) crystal pitcher hock is a vintage german piece produced in the eastern part of the country. It is in excellent condition showing just minor scuffing to the base.

The name of the pattern is traube. There are no nicks, dings, chips, scratches nor repairs. Diameter rim: 3 3/4 inches. Diameter at widest part: 5 1/2 inches. Diameter base: 4 1/4 inches.
