Timo Sarpaneva Signed Iittala Lintupullo Amethyst Glass Carafe

  
A mid-century i-color series lintupollo (or bird bottle) carafe designed in 1956 by the finnish designer timo sarpaneva (1926-2006) for iittala. This elegant carafe is made of amethyst glass and pours from a beak-like spout that gives the piece its name. The underside is marked "timo sarpaneva -- iittala". 3.5 x 7.5 x 3.5. A few natural bubbles in the glass.
