This a a beautiful hand painted stangl piece. It was made in the 1930's. The pattern is the colonial. It is a rare , hard to find wood handled carafe. In tall and 5 3/4 in.Across at the widest part. The base is 3 in.
And the opening is 1 3/4 in. It is glazed a wonderful bright yellow.
There is a green glaze near the neck of the carafe and at the base. This was their rainbow look.The colors blend from dark to lighter yellow. The colonial pattern has thin and thick ribs , making the piece vey lovely. This piece is in beautiful condition, they are no chips, cracks or crazing on this carafe.
The base is impressed stangl usa 1388. This piece also has in glaze the numbers 3307 and the letters rv, most likely the artist signature. The wood curved handle is in great condition.It is not broken or repaired. The metal band hold the handle tightly to the neck of the carafe. I do not have the stopper. This is really a wonderful lovely piece. I have had this , as a shelf piece, in my collection for many years. This item is made of ceramic. The style is cottage chic and traditional.
