Rare blue crystal carafe

  

Beautiful mouth-blown crystal carafe, made at the begin of the 20th century in belgium or france. This rare carafe is mouth blown from clear crystal, after which a layer of blue crystal is applied over it.

During the finish, part of the blue crystal is then cut away so that beautiful geometric figures appear. These, in turn, give a beautiful sparkle in the light. This doubled crystal is typical of val saint lambert, baccarat and saint louis, they perfected this process and often used it.
