Handmade Hittite Sun Jug, Historical Pottery Ceramic, Historical House Decoration, Wine Carafe, Decoration Caraf

  

I was inspired by the hittites when making these jugs. I used rapido decoration art by using camel, horse, bird and deer motifs on it.

In 1600 bc, the hittites, who believed in the sun god, made a jug with a hole in the middle to represent the sun as a respect for their god. They placed the jug filled with wine at the highest point of their location before sunrise, so that the first rays of the sun could pass through. They believe that when the light of the rising sun passes through the middle of this jug, the wine inside is blessed. Consecrated wine was used in religious ceremonies and in entertainment before men went to military service. In ottoman palaces, they used it when serving tamarind sherbet.

You can use these wonderful jugs, which i want to reflect the spirit of the past, on your new year's tables, special occasion dinners, wedding tables, bachelorette tables, as office gifts, new year's gifts, halloween gifts, valentine's day gifts, housewarming gifts or as home decoration. Size 15 cm: width 3.7'' (9.5 cm) height 7.0'' (18 cm). Size 20 cm: width 4.5'' (11.5 cm) height 8.8'' (22.5 cm). Size 25 cm: width 5.3'' (13.5 cm) height 10.6'' (27 cm).

Size 30 cm: width 6.1'' (15.5 cm) height 12.4'' (31.5 cm). To ensure the longevity of hand painted hittite jug hand washing is highly recommended.
