Ewer Early 20th century vintage

  
Very beautiful ewer, decanter from the early 20th century. The body is made of smooth glass while the foot, handle and spout are made of tinplate, a very rare element and one of the oldest known at least since antiquity.

The cove is graceful with a vegetal motif, as an inspiration of the louis 15 style. On the back of the spout, at the level of the handle, is engraved a hallmark "jg" overhung by a crown.
