This gorgeous carafe is a very rare bird early american pressed glass from this time period is rare, and this line of red glassware with silver plated adornments is even more rare. I was only able to find images of this carafe in collections of vintage advertisements and museum photos. This carafe is part of consolidated's "cerise table ware" line. The pattern is called torquay and the color is called selenium ruby. This carafe has a bulbous, ribbed body and a silver plated throat and spout.
This carafe measures 6" in diameter x 9" tall. This antique carafe is in very good, pre-owned condition with minor plating loss at the very edge of the top rim. There is no damage to the glass. This item is made of metal and glass.
