C F Monroe Loyal ABP carafe

  

This listing includes one carafe believed to be in the loyal cut design by c f monroe of meriden, connecticut. I have also seen a catalog page by an unknown glass decorator referring to this design as bedford. C f monroe began decorating glass in 1882 and closed it's doors in 1916. Around the turn of the century, they produced some of the finest cut glass in the country; unfortunately, very few pieces were marked. This carafe measures approximately 7 1/4 inches tall and 6 1/4 wide at it's widest.

It holds a maximum of approximately 42 fluid ounces. This piece is antique and does show signs of wear consistent with age. There are no cracks or cloudiness evident that i can see. There are tiny nicks and chips if you look very closely, however they are not easily visible unless under very close inspection.
