Antique French Hinged Wine Carafe,Handblown Antique Glass

  

This is a beautiful antique french 1900's hinged lidded carafe, the glass has been handblown as there is a pontil mark at the base, patterned with a tight swirl design around the complete carafe. Attached to the top is an oval shaped lid with a straight handle, the silver plate on the lid is worn away but it still has a beautiful sheen, the inside of the lid i have left uncleaned so it shows the age of this piece.

This really is a stunning carafe. This carafe measures 18.5 cm high from the base to the top of the pouring spout, 15 cm from handle to spout, 7.5 cm across the base. The carafe weighs 445 grams unwrapped so it will be a 1 kg rapped i only charge what it costs to send from france no more. This item is made of metal and glass.
