Antique French carafe blue etched glass

  

A stunning blue carafe bohemian glass, made in czechoslovakia. It has "chauviere" pontmain etched on the front and on the base - carafe made in czechoslovakia (in french).

Pontmain is a town in north west france, famous for a miraculous event which took place there in 19th century. The carafe could be used to serve water or could be used as a lamp base by adding a drop in light fitting.

This beautiful carafe is in very good condition and weighs almost 1.5 kg. Size 10.5 ins / 27cm high.
