A beautiful Anthony Morris carafe or jug. Hand crafted studio pottery from the 1970s.

  
This wonderful, salt-glazed carafe or jug is a real beauty. It was made by anthony morris in england in the 1970s. He set up the green farm pottery in suffolk and only potted there for only about seven years before moving to new zealand where he has become a renowned artist and potter. Apparently, he received a couple of months' training from his then neighbour robin welch his work has an increasingly large following in the uk due to his distinctive style and personal stamps which almost always appear prominently on the side of his pots from that era.

This is one of his medium sized pieces and is highly collectable. It is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks.

14.8 cms in height and approx 10.2 cms diameter across the base. Holds maximum of approx 350 ml of liquid. Where possible, this can then be added to the listing prior to placing your order.
