1960 Mid-Century Modern Villeroy and Boch Porcelain Carafe and Cups

  

This stunning and very rare mid century modern carafe 7 piece set is fine porcelain made by villeroy and boch in luxembourg. It was produced in 1960, the condition is pristine, it is an estate item that appears to be unused. The lines of these pieces are extraordinary examples mid-century modern design. The high gloss black glaze has depth, and the set is accented by colorful high gloss interiors.

All pieces are in mint condition with no chips or marks. Pitcher is 15" high and 5.5" diameter at base. Cups are 5" high, 2.125" diameter at base, 3 diameter at top. Villeroy and bosh has been manufacturing fine porcelain since 1748 and the company is known internationally for exceptional quality porcelain in traditional designs.

The mid century era was the first time v & b ventured into modern design and they created a very limited number designs in the'60's. Coupled with limited production of these pieces, this set is truly a rare find, especially in such excellent condition. This item is made of ceramic.
