Price reduced - $110 orig. Made from opaline or milk glass, this is a lovely french bottle with a wire handle that was used to collect and carry milk from the local cremerie back to the home. Once emptied, the bottle could be cleaned and used to fetch milk again and again.
The hand-blown glass lid is attached by wire, fits snugly and "locks" in to place via the looped pull. Dating to the 1920s, the bottle is in very good condition with no chips or cracks though there are a few minor dark scuffs above the base. The interior is intact and watertight and could be cleaned if one wanted to fill the bottle.
